Cruises on Göta Canal

M/S Diana is one of our three historical ships that cruise on the Göta Canal. Common toilets are located on all decks, and showers are available on the bridge and main decks.

This is the main boarding level. She has three decks and 25 cabins.

In 2003 M/S Diana was renovated and in 2012 all cabins on main deck got rebuilt and also the dining room and lounge were also completely redecorated.

Carefully restored historical ship

Both the interior and the atmosphere on board reflect the age when the ship was built. On gotacanal.se you can read more about us and our ships, the journey and book the vacation of a life time.

50 people.

Four shared toilets, two of which include showers, serve this deck.

Beds

On the bridge and shelter decks, all cabins include bunk beds.

This is an acknowledgment we are proud of, since it gives us a proof that out effort to preserve the ship has succeeded.

Tastefully decorated cabins

The cabins are in size comparable to a smaller sleeping compartment on a train, but give the guest an impression of how people once travelled. They are small and cozy and tastefully decorated with beautiful fabrics and brass details.

In 2009 M/S Diana was listed, meaning that the National Maritime Museums in Sweden consider her historically important. This makes M/S Diana highly suitable for meetings and conferences for up to approx. Close proximity to cabins and private doors ensure full privacy.

Compact in size - comparable to a traditional train sleeping compartment, they evoke a nostalgic sense of travel. All communal facilities are maintained in the classic style of the vessel and cleaned multiple times daily.

M/S Diana

M/S Diana was built at the Finnboda shipyard outside Stockholm and launched in 1931.
